L'actrice américaine Tracee Ellis Ross, fille de Diana Ross, et l'humoriste Kumail Nanjiani ont partagé la mission d'annoncer les 24 nominations de la 91e cérémonie des Oscars ce 22 janvier. Les deux artistes ont dévoilé ainsi celles et ceux qui sont en lice pour une des précieuses statuettes, décernées le 24 février prochain. La Favorite, nouvelle réalisation de celui à qui l'on doit The Lobster, se dégage du lot avec dix nominations, suivi de près par A Star is Born, Roma et Vice qui en cumulent chacun huit. La dernière réalisation de Spike Lee (six nominations) Blackkklansman, la superproduction Black Panther (cinq), le drame Green Book (cinq) et le biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (cinq) figurent en bonne position, quelques jours après avoir fait sensation aux Golden Globes.
