Coincés entre les Golden Globes et les Oscars, les British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) britanniques ont dévoilé la liste des nommés à l'édition 2015, avec au pupitre le futur marié Stephen Fry et le jeune Sam Claflin. En attendant le verdict, le 8 février prochain à Londres, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Une Merveilleuse histoire du Temps et Birdman se sont posés en grands favoris. Le fantastique long métrage de Wes Anderson glane ainsi 11 nominations, contre 10 pour le drame romantique – et biopic sur Stephen Hawking – porté par le formidable Eddie Redmayne (bien évidemment nommé aux côtés de Benedict Cumberbatch pour le titre de meilleur acteur), et le fameux Birdman, d'Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. À noter également que Deux jours, une nuit, des frères Dardenne avec Marion Cotillard, est nommée dans la catégorie du meilleur film étranger.
